1,400-HP Mustang Funicone Drag Race 420-HP Mustang Funigan Bang – Motorsports

Have you ever seen a 1,400 horsepower Mustang drag race in Panbang? I did the same until I watched the latest video of Hoonigan competing Ken Block’s Hoonigan Gymkhana car against Hoonigan’s March Van. This may not sound like a fair race, and it doesn’t, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to watch.

Hoonigan has partnered with Forza’s team to sponsor a video series in which Ken Block Drag competes with a myriad of candidates in his dedicated Hoonicorn 1965 Mustang. The Hoonicorn is designed for Gymkhana’s Stunt Driving series and features a trick all-wheel drive system that combines a sequential manual transmission with a twin-turbo V8 engine. This Mustang is a mashup of Ken Block’s love for past rally cars and the classic Ford Mustang.

The Hoonigan team recently discovered that Hoonicorn is not only a tired shredder monster, but also incredibly capable in drag racing. The all-wheel drive, lightweight, and powerful combination of the 1,400 horsepower (1043 kW) twin-turbo V8 makes it the ultimate dragstrip monster. After defeating the trophy truck Pikes Peak Race Track, Ferrari, Quadcopter RX-7, 2020 Shelby GT500, and many other candidates, Hunicorn are short of challengers.

That’s where Panbang comes in. Hoonigan built this unique 420 hp (313 kW) van and brought the goods to various events, looking for customs and brands for the Hoonigan team. Is it fast? In Van’s words, yes, but not exactly for Hoonicorn. With this mismatch, the Hoonigan team came up with several ways to make the van more competitive, but in the end they know the inevitable winner.

You can beat anything Funicone In a drag race? What do you bring to the dragstrip to compete with Ken Block and his trusted horse?
