A big US world update for Microsoft Flight Simulator has arrived

Microsoft Flight Simulator is gradually adding more details to its comprehensive world map. Sure, you can fly anywhere at startup, but developer Asobo Studio has since filled in interesting details on its huge world map. The latest patch, World Update II, adds a number of new detailed locations to the United States and adds some welcome fixes and tweaks.

World Update II updates elevation maps and a large number of aerial photographs of US representations in Flight Simulator. If you’ve ever used Delta, you’ll be delighted to know that Atlanta International Airport has been updated, along with Friday Harbor, Dallas / Fort Worth International, and New York Stewart International on San Juan, Washington.

This patch contains a number of spot updates listed below. There are several places to note, such as the giant Mackinac Suspension Bridge that connects Lake Michigan to the Upper Peninsula. Fort Knox and Kentucky Treasury Gold Repositories, and Fallout: A giant Hoover Dam you might remember from the New Vegas climax scene.

I would like to check out the updated version of Niagara Falls, which was terribly confusing when the flight simulator was first released.

This patch also makes some performance enhancements, improves general handling and flight models of all airplanes, and “fuels” on Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A320neo airliners, and some other areas. Fix “consumption problem”. Official site.
