The sugar cane crushing season in Maharashtra is gaining momentum. By December 25, 2020, the sugar cane mill had crushed 375.71 rack metric tons (MT) of sugar cane to produce 351.98 rack quintal sugar.
The factory in Kolhapur crushes the largest (8611,000 rupees MT) sugar cane, followed by the Pune department (838,400 rupees MT) producing 938,400 rupees quintal, and 82.4 mills in Maharashtra produces 3.75 million rupees. Crushed. Produces 3.51 million rupees of quintal sugar

In the Vidarbha region, there are only two and three sugar factories in each of the Amravati and Nagpur divisions, which are too privately owned this season. These plants crushed 2.92 Rak MT and 0.75 Rak MT sugar cane to produce 2.34 Rakkintal and 0.59 Rakkintal sugar, respectively.
This year, a total of 178 sugar factories have begun the crushing season, including 90 co-operative factories and 88 private factories. The average extraction rate achieved at the factory is 9.37%.
According to the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA), this year’s production is about 19.30 lactones higher than last year’s figures on the corresponding date (December 15th). The high production is due to the early start of crushing work in Maharashtra and the high availability of sugar cane this season.
