The British man got the ultimate Metal Gear cosplay. It’s a cybernetic arm that looks similar to what Venom Snake had.

Back decades ago, the idea of Bionic Arm seemed that one of these metaphors of science fiction never came true, but jetpacks and flying cars probably won’t be mainstream. Probably, the science of cybernetic rims has already come true.

British and enthusiastic gamer Daniel Melville was born without a right hand and was the ambassador of open bionics for artificial limb makers, initially sports arms based on Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

But now, also UK-based Open Bionics, has worked with Konami to create an officially licensed arm based on the 2015 Metal Gear Solid 5 Venom’Punished’ Snake.

This design is clipped to the existing “Hello Arm” of open bionics. It is called the most affordable multi-grip bionics arm in the world.

‘I can’t believe this. That’s all I’ve ever wanted for a bionic arm. I’m an avid gamer and I love Metal Gear Solid. It’s insane to actually have Snake’s arm, “says Melville.

The open bionics arm can be used by adults and children up to 8 years of age by using 3D printing and scanning to create a model that is unique to everyone.

It can be further customized via a magnetic clip-on cover, and Metal Gear Solid is now available for purchase by anyone.

In the game, snakes lose their arms in an explosion, and new ones incorporate removable missiles and other gadgets, but Melville doesn’t.

I think it’s because Melville is a fan, but this is the first time Konami has mentioned Metal Gear since the launch of Metal Gear Survival.

Since then, the future of the franchise has been questionable after series creator Hideo Kojima was kicked out of the company and set up his own studio.
