All Fortnite competition events in 2021 will be online only

Epic Games is not giving players a chance to stay healthy and safe due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Throughout 2021, all competitive Fortnite events will take place online and it is unclear when or when the event will return to face-to-face format.

“Our intention is to eventually hold another face-to-face tournament, but the priority of such an event is the health and safety of our players and staff,” Epic Games said in a blog post. .. “There are no plans to host face-to-face events, including the Fortnite World Cup in 2021, as little is known about what is practical and safe.”

Epic Games added that plans to bring back traditional events will be updated later, but due to the pandemic, the future remains uncertain. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines appear to be very effective based on trials, but may take several more months before they become widely available.

The Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) will continue next year despite the changes and will start on February 4th to give players time to learn the game after the changes recently seen in Season 5. Epic Games is also a unique tournament that is more weekly throughout the year to help competitive players continue to participate between FNCS seasons.

The beginning of Fortnite Season 5 brought the Mandalorian and his companions. His companions still only call him Baby Yoda. Kratos of God of War is also participating in the game, and it seems that he may become the master chief of Halo in the future.
