This is the second batch of New Year’s items added to the game. Last month, the Nuuk Shopping catalog listed four New Year’s foods until New Year’s Eve, but they are no longer available for purchase.
The holidays are over, but there are still some events I’m looking forward to in this month’s Animal Crossing. The first fishing tournament of the year will be held on Saturday, January 9th for players with islands in the Northern Hemisphere. Also, there are still a few days to make snowboys, catch snowflakes and learn festive DIY recipes.
Nintendo is rolling out another New Horizons content update later this month. The company hasn’t shared the details of the new patch yet, but it looks like the Festivale event will be added as part of the update. Nintendo will also introduce a line of Mario-themed furniture into the game in March of this year to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario Series.
