Arkansaw crops: 34% cotton and 56% soybeans harvested

According to the USDA, light to moderate rainfall throughout the state did not slow down the harvest significantly. 99 percent of the state’s corn crops were harvested.

Rice harvesting is 89% complete. 34% of the cotton is harvested and 100% of the balls open. Soybean harvest is 56% complete and 83% of the crop is mature. Peanut harvest was 34% complete and 84% of the crop was dug.

The water content of the topsoil and subsoil is estimated to be 70%, which is sufficient for surplus.
