Arsenal have reportedly begun discussions on a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt striker André Silva to replace Alexandre Lacazette.
The London side is keen to enhance Mikel Arteta’s attack options in this summer’s window and aims to bring in a new striker.
Also, according to the transfer window podcast, Arsenal are interested in ensuring Silva’s possible deals before the transfer window closes.
The report claims that the gunners are already working on a contract to bring Portugal to Emirates internationally, but they told the striker that they needed to sell before his signature was made.
Arsenal are also considering selling Alexandre Lacazette, but are said to be facing great challenges as the 30-year-old pays around £ 200,000 a week.
Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, has withheld £ 34m for Silva’s transfer, but the Bundesliga team is believed to be forced to accept lower amounts.
Silva was impressed by Eintracht Frankfurt in this campaign as the Portuguese star finished second on the Bundesliga scoring table after Robert Lewandowski.
The Portuguese national team scored 28 goals in his club. This is one more league goal than what Erling Brout managed for his team Borussia Dortmund.
RB Leipzig is also reportedly interested in signing with Silva, but players’ preference is to move to the Premier League.
Silva, who is currently playing in Portugal at Euro 2020, has made her professional debut in Porto and has also taken out loans with AC Milan and Sevilla.
In a speech last month, Silva admitted that he wasn’t sure if he would stay in the club for another campaign. He said:’No one knows what will happen in the future. I live now and feel very good now. “
