Assassin’s Creed Valhara Title Update 1.0.4 Details

As Ubisoft had planned, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting another update this month with bug fixes and tweaks, and announced that it will be removed tomorrow. Of course, there are some significant technical fixes, but there are also some idiots. Everyone loves a good patch note goof. Title Update 1.0.4 is scheduled for Thursday, November 26th tomorrow.

On the serious issue side, Ubisoft mentions publishing a fix for a memory leak issue that occurs when the PC player Alt + Tab is connected to the desktop. Cloud saves have been renamed to distinguish them from manual saves. Apparently they also generally improved the performance and stability of the game.

All of these have been nicely fixed and you can find more technical ones in the title update 1.0.4 note. At the ridiculous end, here are some of the mysterious bugs that you won’t find anymore while raiding Valhalla.

-Crows no longer randomly fall from the Asgard sky.
-Norwegian fish will now spawn in bad weather.
-NPCs will now react to player theft … so think twice before stealing!
-Fixed an issue where dogs would start to float when Eivor started stroking them.
-Guards will now hear the impact of a corpse falling to the ground.
-Friend NPCs or horses can no longer trigger body traps.
-Fixed an issue where allies wouldn’t help Eivor open the door during a raid.

Keep the levitating dog alive, I say. We also speculate that horses are causing booby traps because they are afraid of what a “body trap” is other than an existential cry for help. They didn’t fix This bug, Did they do? I haven’t seen it, and frankly I think it deserves to stay.

The update notes also don’t mention PC achievements, so I think their support is still working after the initial confusion about including them.

Title Update 1.0.4 is just over 4GB for PC players, and Ubisoft estimates tomorrow’s Greenwich Mean Time noon / Pacific Daylight Saving Time 4am release time.
