Baldur’s Gate 3’s first story patch is “around the corner”, but it destroys your saves

Larian Studios is preparing for the next patch of Baldur’s Gate 3. It is now called “Patch 3”, but its official name is approaching. This is the first update to influence the story of the game we’ve gotten since we entered Early Access last month.

Details are unknown at this time, but Larian has issued some important updates on how the patch will work in the future. Basically, saves cannot be transferred with each new update. To remedy this, Larian states that he will introduce a second branch for each new update that will allow him to play his current save games. To access the secondary branch, right-click on the game in the Steam library and select Properties,[ベータ]Click on the tab[オプトインするベータを選択]In the list below[patch2]Click. Then, when new updates come out, rinse and repeat the process.

It’s also worth remembering that the game is currently set to update automatically. If you want to prevent this, right-click Baldur’s Gate 3 in the Steam library and select Properties[更新]Press the tab and select the option to update only when you launch the game.

It’s all a bit annoying, but of course, this is the way early access games are done. That said, I’m looking forward to seeing how the story changes. Studio founder Swen Vincke talked to and explained that the data showed that the player was horny and evil. The change to the story is just fun, isn’t it?

There are many future PC games that you can check with just one click.
