Here at DroidGamers, every Saturday, we want to pick out the five best games released on the Google Play Store over the last seven days. Except this week, we chose seven, not just because we like you. The main reason is that it doesn’t make much sense to choose only one FINAL FANTASY Pixel Remaster and ignore the other remasters.
In addition to the latest re-release of Square Enix, there is a revival of Arcade Classic, a new NieR game with gacha, a visual novel that solves love-loving crimes. We have free games, we have premium games, we have a little something to make your day. Hopefully.
As always, you can click on the name of the game to go to the Play Store and download it. Except for the first entry in the list, there is a download link at the bottom of the paragraph. If you think we missed something, let us know in the comments, but until we get there-here’s the best new Android game out this week.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
In the first chunk of Square Enix’s latest landfill project, FINAL FANTASY 1-3 will land on the Play Store. They are sophisticated fine-tuned remakes of the first three games in a long-running series designed to provide the most authentic experience since it first landed decades ago. All three games are premium and you can get them all with a one-time payment.
MiHoYo will release this mix of detective games and romance sims, shifting gear a bit from Genshin Impact. It’s full of quirky characters, evidence gathering, and much more. It’s unlikely to be a favorite for everyone, but it’s perfect if you want low quirky romance and training. This is a free game using IAP.
A gacha-based story-driven RPG set in the world of Nier. It’s angry like a bag full of cats, features a ghost called Mama, and doesn’t play anything like the other games in the Neil series. If you’re looking for a balanced hack and slash, you’re out of luck. If you need a weird mid-core RPG, it’s worth checking out. The game is free at IAP.
A fresh take of arcade classics. Run and Gun gameplay is still here, but there are some latest mobile additions that original fans may find a bit annoying-only two power levels and collectable characters. However, there are still fleshy shooters here, and paywalls can never be overcome. It’s free at IAP in case you didn’t guess.
Make your Top Gun dreams come true with this action-packed flight sim. This is a premium game with several IAPs, packed with different modes and planes. You can customize your jet, take on other players, and engage in single-player campaigns. It’s smooth, nice looking and a lot of fun.
