While the work on their Indiana Jones game is still in its infancy, Bethesda has given new hope for the third entry in the Wolfenstein series of Machine Games.

Most people will agree that Microsoft has succeeded E3 But one of their main goals was to show off their recently purchased Bethesda, but they didn’t really see much.

Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo partnered exclusively for PlayStation 5 to show off pre-rendered trailers of Starfield and Redfall, with no signs of gameplay.

They also didn’t mention studios like id Software or Machine Games. The next project for id is a mystery, but Machine Games is known to be working on a new Indiana Jones game, but what about Wolfenstein?

According to an interview with GameSpot and marketing boss Pete Hines, the Indiana Jones game is still in its infancy and explains why it wasn’t in E3. I didn’t have a hint as to whether it was for Xbox only.

Hines was then asked if there was a new Wolfenstein and when. Wolfenstein 2: The story was clearly incomplete at the end of the new colossus in 2017, but since then we’ve only had a spin-off Young Blood and a cyber pilot.

Neither was very successful, but Wolfenstein 2 also suffered from being released during the Christmas rush. This means that given the Indiana Jones project, the third entry is not guaranteed.

Hines’ reaction is quite hopeful, even if it deliberately avoids making promises.

“Where are Wolfenstein, or, to be honest, other franchises that haven’t announced plans?” He said. “You have to wait until you want to talk about it, but don’t worry, you can put me at the top of the list of people who want to see another Wolfenstein game.

Wolfenstein 3 may have started working before the Indiana Jones license was obtained, but if the Lucasfilm game was first released and that work was just beginning, another game would appear. It starts to sound like it will take a few years. Wolfenstein.

MachineGames isn’t considered a studio big enough to handle two major projects at the same time, but it’s possible to fight the Nazis on both, regardless of which game comes out first. Is enough.
