Losing a mother cannot be explained in words, it leaves a hole in your heart that can never be filled. Mothers bring us into this world and they love us with all their hearts and soul, once you lose someone like that, life turns bleak. God loves us more than a mother could and through his words we find peace. In the Holy Bible, God has consoled us with the passing of our mothers.

Through his words we find solace and consolation like none other, God and Jesus bring meaning to our lives and they are always with us, even when are shattered in pieces. Here are some verses from the Holy Bible about a mother’s death.

Holy Bible Verses About An Infant’s Death

Children are a gift from God, they are the very vessels that give meaning to life. Carrying them in the womb for 9 months is a feeling that has no comparison, and so is watching that child grow. When a child dies, there is nothing in the world that can console parents, but God is always there. It is a test sometimes, to see how much patience parents have and if they turn to their Lord for consolation or not.

When an infant dies, the world turns horrid and dark for the parents, especially the mother. The mother carried their child in the womb and the child did not even get to see the world properly, it seems cruel. God is not cruel, everything brings us back to Him, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away!

In death and in life we must always turn to our Lord. Here are some of the verses from the Holy Bible about an infant’s death.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven”.

Matthew 19:14

So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Mathew 18:4

For you formed my inward parts you knitted me together in my mothers womb
For you formed my inward parts you knitted me together in my mothers womb

Holy Bible Verses About A Friend’s Death

Friends make life easy and memorable, and then there are some friends that become family. They are with us through our thick and thin, they are happy when we are happy and they support us when we are going through something terrible. Losing a friend is something that cannot be imagined, it is a pain that cannot be healed easily.

When we lose a friend, we lose a part of ourselves. Through the words of God shall we find peace in our hearts. It is only He that can fix a broken heart. Here are some of the verses from the Holy Bible about a friend’s death.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Holy Bible Old Testament Verses About Death

The Old Testament is the first division of the Christian Biblical Canon, but what does that mean? There are a lot of Bibles, but what do we know about the Bible? The Bible is a collection of 66 different books, there are books on history, on low, poetry and so much more. This massive collection of books is known as Bible, and it is broken down into two parts- The Old Testament and The New Testament.

There are 39 books in The Old Testament and 27 Books in The New Testament. The focus of The Old Testament is God’s relationship with the world and God’s relationship with his special people from Israel. If we look carefully, The Old Testament is broken down into three major parts, which are- The Law, The Writings, and The Prophets. Here are some of the verses from The Old Testament about death.

If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my service I would wait, till my renewal should come.

Isaiah 57:1-2

And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26

Holy Bible New Testament Verses About Death

The New Testament is the second part of the Bible. The focus of the New Testament is on Jesus and his Church because he is the one who fills it. The New Testament comprises of four Gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

All of this is about Jesus, his life, his ministry, his death, his resurrection, and his ascension to the Father. The second part of the Old Testament is about Jesus’ Church, how it started and how it spread. Here are a few verses from the New Testament about Death.

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; and it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live.

John 11:25

Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

John 5:24

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

John 11:25-26

What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.

1 Corinthians 2:9

For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end, Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

Romans 14:7-9

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
“O death, where is your sting?”

1 Corinthians 15:54-55

What Happens To Our Soul When We Die?

A soul is an immortal entity that shall return back to the Lord after the passing of the vessel. Many religions including Christianity believe that the soul is immortal, it is a person’s body that dies, what does the Holy Bible exactly say about it?

In The Holy Bible, we can learn about the creation of mankind, it says in the Bible.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; man became a living soul

(Genesis 2:7, KJV)

Similar to this, there is another verse.

“. . . and man became a living being”

(NKJV; NIV)

Many believe that God out the soul in the body but that is not how it is. God formed the body of the man from the dust which was present on the ground, after that He breathed His own Life-Giving spirit into the body. The result was the soul.

When a person dies, the soul returns back to God and upon resurrection, the soul will be reunited with the body. Some also believe that souls live as separate entities and they wander around but that would mean immortality and humans are not immortal. Only God is immortal and that is the truth.

Is There Life After Death?

Is there life after death or are we sucked into an endless void of darkness? We are going to die one day, there is no escaping death. Although Jesus said something about death.

He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live

John 11:25

When Jesus will descend from the heavens, we shall receive immortality but all will not be like we have thought. As people will be judged according to their deeds, the righteous and the wicked will be separated. Both of these people will have different rewards and punishments awaiting them.
