And without patch notes, players are thinking about what it does on their own.
Treyarch has published the long-awaited balance patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Treyarch says it expects download sizes to range from 3.4GB to 7.1GB, depending on the platform. The PlayStation 5 weighs 6.817GB.
The developers haven’t released patch notes for the update yet-it will be released prior to the release of Season 1 on December 16th tomorrow. That’s why players have been trying to figure out exactly what has changed in the morning.
The reliable Call of Duty YouTuber Drift0r has published an unofficial patch note based on his first tests. The AUG has minor damage and the FFAR seems to be buffed.

Treyarch tweeted that there are multiple classes of weapons tweaks, including tactical rifles (which discuss AUG tweaks), and perk tweaks, including reduced protection for Flak jackets. Early reports indicate that this flak jacket change is working.
HARP Killstreak has been added to the game. This 6000 cost plane shows both the enemy’s position and direction on the minimap and has a 60 second cooldown.
More information will be available when patch notes are published. Season 1 will be available tomorrow in Black Ops Cold War and War Zone, and finally Black Ops Cold War weapons will be available in Battle Royale.
