Bloody Elbow End of 2020 MMA Awards-This Year’s Event – MMA Sports

Came back!

In the coming days, Bloody Elbow will seek your opinion on some of the best things that happened in the MMA world during 2020. A total of eight different categories are required to vote. on. For simplicity, these posts will stick to the high-level and relevant MMA stuff. I’m sure there was a ridiculous knockout at an unplanned MMA event at Demoin’s Lumberyard Strip Club, or an insane pancreatic lock submission at the ambiguous ZST! Stick to Japanese cards, what many of us have seen, okay? (The game looks familiar because I’ve been using it for 10 years in a row. Originality? What is originality? And what is ZST! Already?)

It’s very easy. I post 5-10 options in the category, you vote for what you think is the best. If you think I’ve left something really important from the list, please post it in the comments. If you think it’s worth it, you can add it to your vote. I’m pretty sure I don’t like all my suggestions, but it’s hard to narrow down these lists.

Now that the problem is solved, let’s move on to the fourth vote, the best event of the year. This may be a harder choice than expected, as there were some great shows in 2020.

UFC 246 -The first PPV undercard in 2020 had five decisions in six battles and didn’t make any sense. However, things were picked up on the main card and submitted three times in a row to get started. Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington weren’t very interesting, but Conor McGregor made up for it with Donald Serone’s 40-second finish at the main event.

UFC Vegas 4 -Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker were the highlights of this card when they went to war with the headliner. However, the event had six other finishes and some very good round-trip battles.

UFC 250 -This card alternated between finishes and decisions all night, but some of the finishes were insanely great. Sean O’Malley crushed Eddie Wineland. Aljamain Sterling’s quick victory over Cory Sandhagen was great. Cody Garbrandt ended Raphael Assuncao. And Amanda Nunes dominated Felicia Spencer with a headliner.

UFC 256 -The top three battles were all so interesting that it didn’t matter that the decision was made. Before that, there were lots of finishes with signature performances such as Kevin Holland, Ciryl Gane, and Cub Swanson back.

UFC 254 -9 times finished. The only main card battle that came to the decision was Robert Whittaker vs. Jared Cannonier. This was very good. And in one of the most anticipated battles of the year, Khabib Nurmagomedov showed off an incredible fight while winning a submission to Justin Gaethje.
