CD Projekt apologizes for Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox and offers a refund

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on the console was so terrible that CD Projekt had to offer a refund and the patch lasted until February.

Cyberpunk 2077 It’s the best-selling PC game to date, but its launch is one of the most problematic games in recent history, especially on the regular Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

All versions of the game have a lot of bugs, but the original Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (that is, not the more powerful PS4 Pro and Xbox One X) have particularly poor performance, broken graphics, and unreliable frame rates.

This doesn’t seem to be particularly acceptable, given that CD Projekt deliberately refused to display games running on the base version of the console before its launch. This is the fact that they are now apologizing.

CD Projekt only showed games running on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro (and Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5) a few weeks before their release. This seems particularly ridiculous given that the game took eight years to create and was delayed many times.

Obviously, it should have been delayed at least once more, but that moment has passed and CD Projekt instead apologized for the entire blunder.

“First, we apologize for not seeing the game on the final-generation console of the base before it premiered. As a result, we can’t make more informed decisions about purchasing.” I’m reading a message on Twitter. “We should have paid more attention to better play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.”

“Fix bugs and crashes and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next update will be done within 7 days. Frequently whenever new improvements are ready. Stay tuned for more updates, “continues the text.

“We will continue to work after the holidays. We will release two major patches for patch # 1 in January, followed by patch # 2 in February. CD Projekt promises.

CD Projekt also offers console refunds, at least next week, as it takes a long time to wait for the game to work properly.

“We want everyone who buys the game to be happy with the purchase,” he reads the tweet. “I would appreciate the opportunity, but if you’re not happy with the console game and don’t want to wait for an update, you can opt for a copy refund.”

The message offers refunds for games purchased digitally or physically. If that doesn’t work, please send an email to helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com until December 21st.

The whole situation is even worse because CD Projekt has “crunched” the developers to end the game, but at first promised not to do so, but problems arise. Will be.

Startup performance issues tend to be forgotten pretty quickly when patches are applied in time, but what was once thought to be the most anticipated game of 2020 is some sort of catastrophe. So the whole legacy of the game is balanced. ..
