Chicken price fixing case ends with fraudulent trial

A federal jury in Denver was unable to reach a verdict in years of chicken price-fixing cases that judges declared suspicious late last week.

Ten current and former chicken company executives from Tyson Foods, Pilgrim’s Pride, and Perdue Farms have been charged by the US Department of Justice for price-fixing and fraudulent bidding in the US poultry market.

The criminal trial began seven weeks ago.

According to Food Processing dot com, a new trial was set up on October 31stst, 2022.
