Mooresville, NC — Young Motorsport has announced that Chris Wright will drive for the team during the next season of the NASCAR Camping World Track Series.
Wright drives the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado and replaces the leaving driver, Tate Fogleman.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Chris this season,” said Tyler Young, principal of Young’s motorsport team. “He has been successful in all of the races and is excited to start in 2021.”
Wright previously focused on open-wheel and sports car racing before moving to stock car racing during the 2020 season. He made his debut in the ARCA Menners Series last year, where he won second place in the ARCA Menners Series West Competition at the Utah Motorsports Campus.
He also started the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on the Daytona International Speedway Road Course and finished in 25th place.
“I’m really excited to be in Young’s motorsports in the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Track Series,” Wright said. “Last year we introduced you to stock car racing. We will apply what we have learned to this year’s competition class. We look forward to a successful season with Tyler and his crew.”
