Perhaps one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks, the Chrysler Building, was taken out of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, thanks to copyright issues.

Avid players may have noticed a fairly obvious omission from the latest Insomniac Games title, the Chrysler Building.

The monolithic structure that existed in the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 release (and many other Marvel media launches) wasn’t the latest web sling game due to new ownership. The 2019 Art Deco landmark.

“When we created the city’s representation, we wanted to include as many landmarks as possible to make it more immersive,” Insomniac Community Director James Stephenson told Game Informer in an interview.

“Marvel’s Spider-Man: As in the case of Miles Morales’ Chrysler Building, negotiations to use these locations sometimes went awry.”

The game informer details that Chrysler Building was sold by the Abu Dhabi Investment Council to the Austrian company SIGNA Group and the New York real estate development company RFR Holding LLC in March 2019. How much does this transaction cost? A huge amount of $ 150 million.

The change in ownership seems to have invalidated Insomniac’s previous agreement to include the building in the game. Therefore, it is not included in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

But if you’re crazy about visiting virtual landmarks, don’t worry. You can find the Chrysler Building that exists and is described in Marvel’s Spider-Man remastered and original game (currently with over 20 million sales). Unit) too.
