CHS expects fertilizer prices to fall in 2022.

The country’s largest farmer-owned co-operative states that record high fertilizer prices are unlikely to remain at these levels in all of 2022.

Kevin Doyle is a sales manager for CHS. “It depends a bit on the product, but I think we’re at the high end of the market, but in the middle of summer and in the fall we head downhill.”

He told the brownfield, “What we are experiencing today, and what we say regularly, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I have never seen overtime. I think it will be even and balanced. “

He states that natural gas has a direct impact on fertilizer prices on the world stage, which could be the fastest solution. “It’s really geopolitical. Most of the natural gas that flows into Europe comes from Russia, and Russia plays the game a bit.”

Doyle spoke with the Brownfield at the Northeast Nebraska Farm Show.
