Cristiano Ronaldo has become a cyberpunk character for mobile battle royale.

Juventus forward is considered one of the greatest players in the world and plays a character called Chrono in a mobile battle royale game called Freefire.

Here’s what he looks like in the game:

“Cristiano Ronaldo now lives in Freefire as a chrono set in the slums of the future,” said the official propaganda.

It’s not just about playing as Ronaldo. The entire in-game universe is built around him. It’s all called Operation Chrono.

Here is a quote from Ronaldo’s press release:

“It’s great not only that the Free Fire character is modeled on me, but that the entire universe in the game is changing with it.

“The Garena team has introduced a lot of new features and elements into Operation Chrono’s games. I hope Freefire players around the world are just as excited as I am!”

By the way, Garena is the developer of Free Fire. It is based in Southeast Asia and exists in Taiwan and Latin America, where it is clearly huge. Ronaldo’s contract is a move to expand the game globally.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has entered the world of video games. Apart from appearing on the cover of something like FIFA, in 2015 Goal Machine got his own video game called Ronaldo & Hugo: Superstar Skater-Mobile Endless Runner.

As for cyberpunk Ronaldo, well … Juventus is desperately trying to keep playing, so maybe that’s what the 35-year-old will look like in the next few years.
