Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t work well with AMD CPUs, but there is a workaround

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t been smooth, and for some PC players, gaming issues with certain components exacerbate the problem. Currently AMD CPU players have performance issues, but there are ways to improve the situation.

The Reddit thread has discovered a game glitch. This allows only the physical cores on the AMD chip to be recognized, not the logical cores. Intel CPUs are not facing any issues, but AMD users can experience significant performance degradation.

Thankfully, all you need to do to fix the problem is change one line using a hex editor. PC Gamer has a great guide on how to do this and recommends the freeware HxD as the editor to use.

Once that’s done, programmatically open the Cyberpunk 2077 executable and press Ctrl + F to:[16進値]Search for tabs.

Changing that 75 to “EB” and saving your changes should fix the problem. However, I hope there will soon be a patch that will eliminate the need to do this.

The first major patch of Cyberpunk 2077 dealt with seizure-inducing light displays, copyrighted music issues, and some bugs, but more is definitely underway. is. If you’re playing on an Xbox One or PS4, you can’t easily fix the annoying startup state of the game, which CD Projekt Red apologized for.
