Demolition Man’s three shells are one of the big challenges in science fiction movies. Seriously, how are they supposed to work? Cyberpunk 2077 has no answer, but because they refer to them, there are three shells in V’s apartment.
When you go to the toilet of V’s house in an RPG game, there is an excursion near the toilet. Resting on that little ledge are three black shells, ready and waiting for you to do business. No other context has been given and there is no further instruction as to where these bathroom products fit into our future cleaning rituals.
Demolition Man was an action movie in 1993, in which Sylvester Stallone played police officer John Spartan and tried to defeat Wesley Snipes’ Simon Phoenix in 1996. Both are sentenced to cryogenic freezing when the hostage situation is severely turned sideways. Phoenix was first released in 2032, so Spartans came back to stop him. When trying to navigate the strange and distant modernity, Spartan finds three shells where the toilet paper should be, because he doesn’t understand the intersection of souvenirs from a beach trip and personal hygiene. Will be laughed at. This is a repetitive joke.
Since Shell is a genre fan meme, most nods were expected from something that has become established in modern science fiction, such as Cyberpunk 2077.

References to The Office and Half-Life 3 are one of the other Easter eggs found in open world games. Unlike the seashell routine, this game is really understandable, so here’s a guide on Cyberpunk 2077 vehicles, Cyberpunk 2077 weapons, and Cyberpunk 2077 bosses.
