CD Projekt’s own website states that the development and marketing costs of Cyberpunk 2077 are covered solely by pre-orders.

Everyone expected Cyberpunk 2077 to be one of the biggest launches of the year (And that was), but new information reveals that it was an economic success even before it came out.

According to the CD Projekt website, pre-order sales outweigh all development and marketing costs, according to a report on investments related to Cyberpunk 2077’s development and promotion.

This isn’t too surprising to learn, given that CD Projekt previously stated that the game received 8 million pre-orders.

Also, given that the DLC and versions of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S are still coming out, that only means making more money for the studio.

The guaranteed financial success of Cyberpunk 2077 may have helped boost the decision to finally release it in December after multiple delays.

The release is now backfired, but the game has received rigorous reviews from fans and has been complaining about technical issues, especially the base PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

CD Projekt should apologize for not intentionally showing that these console versions are running prior to launch and will offer a temporary refund for those who are dissatisfied with the purchase I am.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S versions are planned for 2021.
