CD Projekt disagreed when it revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 was a first-person game, not a third-person game like its own The Witcher series. Now, perhaps inevitably, modders are now working on a third-person mode for the game, with early signs promising.
The leader in Cyberpunk 2077 in third-person shooters is modder Jelle Bakker. His “TPP MOD WIP Third Person” works well in certain situations, such as walking through the streets of Night City. Get it from Nexus Mods.
There are some hoops that jump to make the mod work. First, you need to download and install Cyber Engine Tweaks. Also note that two third person mods are available. One for men and one for women V. Once installed, drag and drop the mod’s plugins folder onto the plugins folder inside Cyber Engine Tweaks and you’re ready to go.
The YouTube channel Slothability has a great video about the following mods: This video explains how to launch and run it and shows how it works.
For now, mods are good for walking around Night City, but they look a bit erratic. Cyberpunk 2077 does not have a walking mode by default (instead, it’s like trot). With this mod, you can see that V moves faster than it makes sense for the animation and has a subtle gliding effect. Watch the YouTuber OrinFY video below to see mods using female V characters.
Under normal circumstances, I don’t see V often (I only sometimes ride my bike and get a glimpse of the character). Therefore, mods are a great way to properly check out new outfits. However, the mod breaks down a bit in combat and underwater, revealing the true horror of V’s animation.
Of course, it’s in the early stages of Cyberpunk 2077’s mods, organizing these weird first-person animations for the tinkerer to use properly in third-person shooters so that the entire game can be played perfectly in different situations. I don’t think it will take that long until you do. Camera angle.
