Cyberpunk 2077 Third Person Mode | Rock Paper Shotgun

Cyberpunk 2077 is primarily a first-person game, with players looking at the world of Night City from the eyes of the main character V. However, many players are wondering if they can play the game in third person mode instead. This guide Third person exists in Cyberpunk 2077, And the amount of games that can be played from this perspective.

Cyberpunk 2077 Third Person Mode: Does It Exist?

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first person game. There is no third person mode while walking. It exists as an option only while you are driving the car.. So if you want to put your camera behind and play V’s story, you’ll be disappointed with the long-standing choice of CD Projekt Red to make Cyberpunk 2077 a first-person game.

In the entire Cyberpunk 2077 story, there are few cutscenes where you can see V without a mirror. CDPR’s intention to keep Cyberpunk 2077 primarily in first-person games was to maximize player immersiveness. Most of the in-game animations are designed with a first-person perspective in mind and can look strange or break in the third-person.

How to get to a third person with Cyberpunk 2077

However, there are some limited options for migrating to a third person in Cyberpunk 2077. One is that you can turn the third person on and off while driving any kind of vehicle. You can switch between first-person and several different third-person options by simply pressing the Cycle Camera key (default is “Q”).

From time to time, you may find that you cannot leave the first person while in the car. This is a bug and Jake has created a guide on how to resolve this issue.

The only other option if you want to see your custom made V from behind is to enter photo mode. To do this, press the photo mode button (default is “N”). Unfortunately, time stops in photo mode. So, as you can imagine, photo mode is only suitable for taking pictures. This way you can’t actually play the game with a third party. For more information, see Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode Guide.

Now that you have the answers to your third-person mode questions, it’s time to look at other cyberpunk guides.
