Cyberpunk 2077: When will PS5 and Series X come out?

The next big game from The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077, will be released on December 10th, but that’s just the beginning. The game is backward compatible and can be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but the true next-generation edition will not be released for some time.

When will Cyberpunk 2077 be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S?

The custom edition of Cyberpunk 2077 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S will be completed as early as 2021. Business development boss Mihau Novakovsky said of the new generation edition, “when it comes to the right, full-fledged next-generation version, it will come later.”

However, if you’re playing Cyberpunk 2077 on your PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, the power of these machines will show some improvements. “It will look better on next-generation consoles,” CDPR said.

With the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S editions of Cyberpunk 2077, it will be available as a free upgrade for those who have already purchased the game. However, they must be in the same family. If you have a game on PS4, you can upgrade to the PS5 version.

CDPR management has stated that the next generation of Cyberpunk 2077 may or may not be released in 2021. The studio hasn’t settled on the release date yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PC, and PS4 and Xbox One. Games can be purchased from a variety of stores, but if you want to offer the best price to developers, you can buy them from GOG, CDPR’s digital store.
