Since its launch, PS5 has faced many bugs reported by users. This includes a “waiting for download” bug that may require a full factory reset to be fixed.
PS5 “waiting for download” bug
The “waiting for download” bug occurs when you try to download a title you own. You won’t see the title in the PS5 download queue, but you’ll see that the game is “in the download queue.”
The only fix that allows content download is to do a full factory reset in the console. You can move your PS4 games to an external hard drive with USB 3.0 before resetting to factory defaults, but you will need to download the PS5 games again.
Front USB port does not charge in rest mode
There are many reports from Reddit users who have discovered that the PS5’s front USB port does not charge the DualSense controller when in rest mode.
It’s easy to fix this. Just use the rear USB port on your PS5.
Rest mode can destabilize the system
Other users have also reported that the PS5’s rest mode causes system instability with frequent crashes.

Apart from the above fix, the user should turn off the PS5 completely if they don’t want to use the option rest mode in the power menu. You can also head to Settings> System> Power Savings> Set the time it takes for the PS5 to enter rest mode Select Do not put in rest mode Prevents the console from timing out due to inactivity.
PS5 is now available.
