Details of the first week of the Black Ops Cold War patch

It’s the first week at Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Treyarch have put together all the balance changes and bug fixes we’ve made so far. The gun has been adjusted and the score streak has been adjusted. All of this is detailed in the list of patch notes for the first week. We’ve also released a new Trello board that allows players to monitor known issues that Treyarch is working on.

“Since its launch, we’ve added some gameplay improvements and fixes to key multiplayer and zombie issues, implemented weapon and score streak tuning, and made various stability fixes in all modes.” Said in the first week’s patch notes.

The big problem with the list I’ve collected is the tweaks to the MP5 submachine gun that was causing havoc in multiplayer. They have already weakened it, but apparently today they accidentally undone those changes. Don’t worry, the reduced damage range and recoil changes “will come back in a future update,” they say. In the meantime, I think, let’s be the last fuss with a version that isn’t accidentally nervous now.

Both tactical rifles and sniper rifles are tuned like any other type of gun. The cost of score streaks has also been adjusted, most up and down hundreds of points. Zombies have gained some love with improved undead pathfinding and some fixes to prevent players from sneaking out of playable areas. You have to shoot your way properly, or you have to do it at all, right?

In terms of the remaining known issues, Treyarch highlights some PC-specific issues related to stability and mouse and keyboard support. We also recognize that the multiplayer menu will show up as “partially installed” even if you haven’t downloaded the multiplayer package.

You can find Treyarch’s Trello board and Activision support site to address other issues identified.
