Deus Ex and Guardian Of The Galaxy lead writers join BioWare

Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divide, and the recent Guardians of the Galaxy narrative designer and lead writer, Mary Demar, is currently the Senior Narrative Director at BioWare. The switch will take place only a few months later Embracer Group purchased Eidos Montreal And said they saw Deus Ex spin-offs, sequels, and potential remakes..

The news was discovered by ResetEra forum member, Based on a LinkedIn update by DeMarle. Nothing is said about what DeMarle is working on, but five months ago BioWare advertised a narrative director working on the Mass Effect series.

Whatever project DeMarle is working on, it’s probably good news for BioWare fans. DeMarle recently led the writing team for Eidos Montreal’s Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy game, and the chatter between its spaceflight teams was praised in almost every review- Including ourselves.. This is a precursor to her involvement in future RPGs.

I also think it’s obviously bad news for Deus Ex. Both Human Revolution and Mankind Divided have great quests, especially side quests, and some great characters that DeMarle deserves at least partial credit. She also left Eidos-Montlior at a time when Adam Jensen’s further adventures seemed possible. She can’t resent anyone looking for a new challenge, but without DeMarle’s involvement, she’s not confident in future Deus Ex games.

we I talked to De Marle in 2011 For the release of Human Revolution, Adam Jensen’s motives, the benefits of a conversation duel, and the fun of making a dislike like Frank Pritchard.
