Did RBC Heritage install an additional net to thwart Bryson’s range bombs just for Bryson’s withdrawal? – New Zealand Golf Digest – GOLF Sports

At RBC Heritage last June, Bryson DeChambeau was still in the early stages of the bulk-up revolution, but long before the tournament began, he took a walk to Harbortown and began to turn his head to the range. He was absolutely intoxicated and hit the ball with a driver, so he didn’t hit over the net and had to move behind the range.

After 10 months of fast-forwarding, RBC Heritage officials now appear to be more prepared than they are for the DeChambeau range bomb. He must have hit at least one or two nets last June, as some on the tournament site said he had to set up an additional net to catch DeChambeau’s heat-seeking missiles. .. Here are some pictures:

For clarity, it’s a bit speculative that the net was set up just for DeChambeau. But to be honest, they didn’t put up with it because they were afraid that Zach Johnson and Luke Donald would fly there.

Of course, the big dagger is that DeChambeau withdrew from the event on Monday after disappointing the Masters twice in a row. Therefore, this net may have been set up for players who didn’t even appear (reportedly).
