Diesel spikes 8.5 ¢ to $ 3.671 gallons

The national average price of diesel continued to skyrocket, rising 8.5 cents to $ 3.671 a gallon, according to data released on October 18 by the Energy Information Agency.


• Diesel prices have risen 19.4 cents a gallon in the last two weeks and 26.5 cents in the last three weeks due to price increases on Monday. Gallons are priced $ 1.283 higher than they are in 2020.

• The previous diesel price was at least as high as the current price. It was $ 3.677 on November 10, 2014.

• In an EIA weekly survey, the average cost of a gallon of diesel increased in all 10 regions, with a maximum of 10.5 cents in California and a minimum of 5.9 cents in the Rocky Mountains region.
