Dolby Atmos and Xbox Series X | S Audio – ASTRO Gaming Blog

The Xbox Series X and S are finally here! I know there are many questions in the ASTRO family, and we are doing our best to get all the answers you need about your gear and the new console. Today, I’ll show you how Dolby Atmos works with ASTRO products and EQ presets on the Xbox Series X | S. First, I’d like to answer some of the more common questions about the new console on the Next Generation Compatibility Blog and point out that we’re working on a more detailed FAQ for both PlayStation and Xbox. I hope you can get ready soon. Once that’s all done, let’s talk about Dolby.

ASTRO Gaming and Dolby have been partners for longer (more than 10 years) than I was on the team. We at ASTRO have always believed that Dolby will provide a premium audio experience for games, movies and many other entertainment. Since the introduction of the Xbox 360, Dolby has set the standard for game surround and simulated surround sound, raising the bar only for products such as Dolby Atmos. If you’re new to what Atmos is and how it differs from traditional channel-based audio such as 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound, I blogged a few years ago. YouTube has a lot of great videos to help you understand why we like it. This technology.

Dolby Atmos is the future of gaming audio and is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S, and Windows 10 PCs. To access Dolby Atmos, you must purchase a US $ 14.99 license unless you have an Xbox / PC Edition Gen 4 A40 TR + MixAmp Pro TR or A50 Wireless + Base Station. You should have got a card with the code on it. 2-year free subscription to the product package. Owners of the Gen 4 MixAmp Pro TR and Gen 4 A50 Wireless no longer need a subscription code, which we’ll discuss later.

Which ASTRO Gaming product works with Dolby Atmos? The answer to this question is that “all ASTRO Gaming products compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, or Windows 10 PCs are compatible with Dolby Atmos.” We know that the “simple” answer is long, but it needs to be thorough. This is pretty wide, so let it disassemble for you.

  2. If you have a Gen 4 MixAmp Pro TR or Gen 4 A50 Wireless + Base Station, follow these steps to access Dolby Atmos for free.

How do I get Dolby for free with Gen 4 products? We have worked with Dolby to allow the Dolby Access app to automatically detect your product. This gives you access to Dolby Atmos wherever you are. If you’re using gear on a friend’s console, event, LAN, or just signed in to another family account, you’ll get surround sound on your PC or Xbox as long as the Dolby Access app is installed and configured. You can access it at any time.

Where are the EQ presets? That’s a good question. The EQ presets work fine when using the MixAmp Pro TR or A50 Wireless + Base Station on a PC.You can use them and adjust to your taste ASTRO Command Center app in the Windows Store.. For Xbox Series X | S, you need to adjust the EQ settings in the Dolby Access app. Setting the EQ applies to all operations performed on the console while using the MixAmp or A50.
