In addition, there are 3 remakes of Octopath Traveler style, offline DQ10 and so on.
Dragon Quest somehow celebrated its 35th anniversary early this morning, with live streams from Japan announcing a series of new entries and spin-offs for the popular RPG series.
Many at the forefront was Dragon Quest 12, the first mainline entry since 2017. It didn’t show much except for a short trailer revealing the logo, but the logo revealed a shift to dark fantasy, and the creators of the series called it Dragon Quest’for adults’. While the platform hasn’t been announced yet, the timing hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s being prepared for a simultaneous global release-it will be the first of the mainline entries.
Elsewhere, a remake of Dragon Quest 3 was announced, incorporating 2D / 3D styling such as Octopath Traveler, and was born by Octopath Traveler producer Masaaki Hayasaka. Since Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D is currently called a little clumsy, there is no release date or confirmed platform, but it is scheduled to be released worldwide at the same time, and we were able to confirm the actual operation.
There was much more in the form of Dragon Quest treasure (which will be released worldwide again), a spin-off starring Eric and Mia in Dragon Quest 11, and of MMO Dragon Quest 10, which is currently down for Japan only. Offline version.
In short, there are many Dragon Quests on the horizon.
