Miller finished the second round of the 2021 season last weekend in 9th place after suffering from arm pumps late in the race.
He admitted that he was evaluating arm surgery after the race, and Ducati put Miller under a knife at the Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona, where renowned MotoGP surgeon Dr. Xaviermir and his team performed the surgery. I confirmed that.
Miller’s surgery is considered successful and is expected to be suitable for spending the next 24 hours in the hospital before starting rehab and riding the Portuguese Grand Prix next weekend.
“It was a short operation, and it worked very well,” Miller said.
“I can’t wait to start rehab. It’s 10 days until the next Grand Prix at Portimao.
“Once the recovery is successful, you can get back on track in Portugal, even if you are not 100% physically fit.
“I would like to thank Dr. Mir and the availability of all his teams at Dexeus Hospital and all the care they have given me.”

Miller was 9th in the MotoGP rankings and finished 9th twice in Qatar’s opening race. Meanwhile, Johann Zarco, the Ducati rider of the Pramaclan GP21, is leading the championship by 4 points for 2 consecutive seconds.
Miller’s Doha GP is not without controversy after being involved in two clashes with world champion Joan Mir.
Suzuki riders pushed the mirror a lot with an aggressive overtaking on lap 13 of last Sunday’s race. After that, the pair collided at almost 200km / h at the moment of the main straight.
Miller escapes without penalty and does not feel his actions are punishable.
However, Mir was furious at the move, branding it “super-dangerous” and claiming that Miller had deliberately clashed with a Suzuki rider.
The MotoGP rider who operated the arm pump ahead of the Portuguese GP was not only the mirror, but Tech3KTM’s Iker Lecuona’s Qatar race was compromised by this condition.
During his work in Valencia, Lecuona made a brief statement on social media: Completely satisfactory operation. Thanks to Dr. Eduardo Sanchez Aleps and his team for the care they received at IMED Valencia Hospital. “
