Dying Light 2 features 4K graphics and 60 frames per second gameplay modes.
In a new interview with Wccftech, several major Dying Light 2 developers have announced new information about upcoming horror games. When asked if the sequel would support 4K graphics and 60 FPS modes on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, rendering director Tomasz Szałkowski said, “Quality (including ray tracing), performance (60+ FPS), and 4K. I plan to make it possible. “
Szałkowski elaborated that they are currently “working hard on performance” and “we can’t provide any more details at this time.” No matter how far Dying Light 2 is, it’s certainly a promising sign that Techland’s development team plans to take advantage of the next-generation hardware offered.
In fact, this isn’t the first time Dying Light 2 developers have talked about next-generation hardware. Last year in 2020, the developers of the sequel said they were considering taking advantage of Dying Light 2’s next-generation ray tracing capabilities to make it look “more intense.” As if the original horror game wouldn’t have been incredibly intense without ray tracing.
After a long silence, developer Techland finally talked about Dying Light 2 last month. The developers initially said the game was announced too early, but then reaffirmed the 2021 release period and provided video updates from several major developers who are enthusiastic about the game. ..
