The Wonderful 101 Remastered has been extensively demoed on all release platforms and includes additional content and easy access to Bayonetta-inspired characters in all versions.
The free version, entitled “Wonder-sized Cadets Demo,” features the entire prologue of the game and all three actions of the first mission, and takes about two hours to tinker with the game’s unique combat system. Provides play time. According to developer PlatinumGames, the progress in the demo will be carried over to the retail version of the game if you want to buy it.
The demo also gives you easy access to Wonder Bayonetta, an in-game homage to another previously hard-to-find platinum development title. The character will be available from the start of the demo along with other additional in-game items.
If you have already invested in the retail version of The Wonderful 101 Remaster, you can get the same in-game item using the code provided by PlatinumGames. The code “UMBRANGIFT” nets the same support items for Wonder-Bayonetta and the demo, and the code “ANGEL SLAYERS” unlocks both Wonder-Jeanne and Wonder-Rodin. PlatinumGames is teasing to unlock additional characters in the future with a similar code.
First released on the Wii U in 2013, The Wonderful 101 still stands out for its enthusiastic combat and striking art style. Not so impressive in 2020, GameSpot’s Wonderful 101 Remastered review says, “Platinum has great concepts and good combat mechanics that can be achieved, but it takes a lot of patience to find them.” It has been done.
