Eating Doritos can be a ticket to double XP in Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard. Doritos’ specially marked bag is now appearing in US retail stores and appears to be offering “Dual XP” to both Warzone and Vanguard. The package states that the buyer will earn double XP and double weapon XP in both games and share their progress.
Perhaps Double XP only applies for a period of time, but we don’t know the details at this stage. As shared by Twitter user @ Aeroenex6793, you can see what the special Doritos bag looks like in the image below (Via Charlie Intel), It seems that he took a picture at Wal-Mart on the east coast of the United States.
The existence of such a promotion is not a big surprise, as Call of Duty has partnered with food and snack brands for many years to offer double XP in this way. Microsoft isn’t the only Call of Duty, as buying Pringles and Pop-Tarts will sign a Halo Infinite deal with Kellogg’s to offer double XP.
We’re still waiting for the official announcement of this promotion from Activision and Doritos, so check out GameSpot for more details. However, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone now offer Double Weapon XP, so you don’t have to wait to win Double XP.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Vanguard will be available in November. Beta testing took place in early September, and the studio made a series of changes, such as “weaken the sun” and “remove the dognad,” based on feedback.
As for Warzone, Battle Royale games will add a new map, Warzone Pacific, later this year. This is the biggest update to the game so far, completely replacing the existing map Verdansk and adding a new anti-cheat system.
GameSpot may receive commissions from retail offers.
