In a short teaser video, the next major update to The Elder Scrolls Online is described as a one-year adventure, and Oblivion’s great evil is back.

It was confirmed yesterday that ZeniMax Online, the studio behind The Elder Scrolls Online, has expanded to work with a brand new IP and is opening a new studio.

However, this does not mean that MMO development will slow down quickly. In fact, things are skyrocketing for the next major update.

At The Game Awards last night, Bethesda shared a new CGI trailer for the Gates Of Oblivion storyline. This is described as a great adventure over the course of a year.

Apparently based on 2006 The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, the trailer has made a spectacular resurgence outside of Oblivion’s main villain, the demonic Mehrunes Dagon, without revealing much terrible. ..

Fortunately, fans don’t have much time to wait for details. The trailer is a global public event taking place on January 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) / 5:00 pm (Pacific Standard Time) / 10:00 pm (Greenwich Mean Time) via Bethesda’s Twitch channel. I’m confirming that.

There is no new information about The Elder Scrolls 6, the next mainline game announced in 2018.

Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda has raised concerns from fans about whether The Elder Scrolls 6 (and other Bethesda titles) will be dedicated to the Xbox console.

There is no specific official statement about The Elder Scrolls 6, but Bethesda’s own Todd Howard said it’s hard to imagine it being exclusive. This means that it also applies to other platforms such as PlayStation 5.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia. It will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S at a later date.
