Embracer Group Acquires 11 Game Studios

Embracer Group, the parent company of THQ Nordic and Sabre Interactive, today announced the acquisition of 13 companies. Eleven of them are game developers. Among the new acquisitions are Flying Wild Hog, who is currently developing Shadow Warrior 3, and Snapshot Games, the developer of Phoenix Point.

Of the 13 transactions, Embracer Group acquired some companies directly and some through its subsidiaries. Flying Wild Hog has been acquired by Koch Media. The snapshot game will be part of Saber Interactive. The remaining nine studios are Silent Games, Coffee Stain North, IUGO Mobile, Purple Lamp Studios, Mad Head Games, 34BigThings, Nimble Giant Entertainment, Zen Studios, and Thinking Ape Entertainment.
