Entrepreneurship Training for the Latino Economic Development Center Success Program – UConn Center for Career Development

Starting a business is not an easy task, but with the right support, you can realize your ideas. There are many opportunities for Latin individuals with innovative business plans for future businesses and products. More specifically, the Latin Economic Development Center promotes Latin business women through specialized programs.

The Latino Economic Development Center offers a three-month program for Latino entrepreneurs from the Washington, DC and Maryland regions. The Entrepreneurship training for success Is a 60-hour program in which participants acquire leadership, business, and workforce skills and knowledge. Students participating in the program are trained in micro-entrepreneurship and financial literacy to support the growth of their personal business plans. In addition, participants are paired with mentors who can provide advice and knowledge on how to reach the goals of the business plan.

This opportunity is offered twice a year and registration for the next fall will begin in August.
