update: spoke with actor Mads Mikkelsen on Monday to promote Chaos Walking’s exclusive debut. See tomorrow at on Thursday, November 19th at 6am (Pacific Standard Time) / 9am (Eastern Standard Time). -In the meantime, we asked Rogue One and Hannibal stars about the news that they are ready to replace Johnny Depp with Gelato Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Depp resigned from that role earlier this month (see original report below), and the deal nailed Mikkelsen as the best choice for director David Yates to replace him in the role of an ominous wizard. Except that Mikkelsen says it’s all just “rumors” … for now.

“Oh, that’s based on the rumors we’re talking about,” Mikkelsen told on the phone. “So I know as much as you know from the newspaper, so I’m waiting for the call.”

Perhaps Mikkelsen is simply shy until the deal is signed, or until the studio’s desire to cast him before the studio is ready to offer him. In any case, we’ll let you know as soon as the Depp change is official!

Immediately after being asked to resign from the upcoming Fantastic Beast 3, it is possible that a replacement for Johnny Depp has already been found. Mads Mikkelsen is said to have participated in early negotiations to play Grindrewald in the next sequel.

According to a Deadline Mikkelsen report, director David Yates seems to be the number one choice to replace Johnny Depp, who was recently released from the project due to continued abuse allegations.

Depp has shot only one scene in this movie so far, but retains millions of dollars in salary, depending on the type of first contract that guarantees salary even if roles change. ..

Actors who changed during production

Mikkelsen is known for portraying Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the television series Hannibal and Rogue One’s Gayren Aso. The Danish actor played a central role as Clifford Unger in Hideo Kojima’s Deathstrand, contributing to both motion capture and vocals.

Filming of Fantastic Beasts 3 was canceled earlier this year due to the ongoing epidemic of coronavirus (COVID-19). With Depp gone, WB confirmed that Fantastic Beasts 3 will be released in the summer of 2022 instead of the November 2021 release date.Fantastic Beasts was also previously announced to be a five-part series after being extended from the original three films.

For more information, make sure Yates talked about the upcoming battle of the film with other actors who were replaced during the film.
