Overtaking assistance – Silverstone has two DRS zones. The detection point for the first zone is 25m before turn 3 and the activation point is 30m after turn 5. The detection point for the second zone is on turn 11 and the activation point is on turn 14.
Change- There have been some changes to the Silverstone track. New tire barriers have been installed to the right of the Turn 6 entrance and Turn 18 exit. The left tire barrier between Turn 10 and Turn 11 has been extended. The white line at the pit exit is narrowed to measure 4 meters from the right track edge. In addition, new debris fencing has been installed in various parts of the truck.
tire- Another new element introduced at Silverstone is about tires. The only supplier, Pirelli, has brought a new structure tested in free practice in the last race in Austria. The compound is the same as before, and at this event the team will use C1, C2 and C3, but the rear carcass structure is more robust.
