FIA Dates Aston Martin F1 Disqualification Hearing – Motorsports

The FIA has announced that members of the Aston Martin team have been asked to attend the CEST at 3:00 pm on Monday, August 9th, before the video conference to discuss the incident.

Aston Martin believes that Vettel has discovered “significant new evidence” that was not available at the time he was excluded from the results of the hanger ring race.

Vettel finished second behind Alpine’s Esteban Ocon, but post-race inspections of his car showed that the FIA did not require at least one liter of fuel to carry out a legality check. I did.

The team showed that the car had enough fuel to pass the check, but the calculation from the fuel flow meter was only a matter of whether it could be extracted.

In light of Aston’s complaint, the FIA has chosen to seize Vettel’s car and transport it to a technical facility in France, which can be further inspected if necessary.

Given the amount of fuel in the car at the start and what was used on the FIA’s fuel flow meter, according to team data, there should be 1.74 liters left in the tank.

However, only 0.3 liters of FIA can be discharged after GP, 1.44 liters are not considered.

Team Principal Otomar Safnauer told on Sunday night that he believed the car’s lift pump had broken down, jeopardizing efforts to get fuel out of the car.

Aston Martin not only sought the right to review on the basis of significant new evidence found, but also filed another proceeding on this issue.

The complaint is believed to allow the team to replace what appears to be a broken lift pump with the same new one, and thus focus on removing fuel from the car in another way.

The FIA hearing on Monday will first prove whether the new evidence revealed by Aston Martin is acceptable as a basis for revisiting the penalty.

Steward will only conduct new hearings to consider a particular case if the evidence is convinced that it is important and relevant and is further discovered.
