Former World Class Championship wrestling referee John Renest has passed away.

Courtbauer, the founder of Major League Wrestling, first revealed the news on Twitter.

Wrestling has lost a great referee at John Lenest, a staple of world-class championship wrestling. Many have told us how John helped many and came to the circuit. The family goes back three generations in sports. rest in peace.
