Denver Broncos: Four positions the team will have to deal with in 2021.

The· Denver Broncos Having one of the NFL’s most talented young rosters, the excitement of 2020 has become a bit of a “cap” due to injuries and difficult learning experiences.

John Elway needs to make some interesting decisions over the next three months to prepare the team in the hope that it will be a healthier and more successful campaign in 2021.

At this point, Broncos appears to be preparing to “get it back” with the current roster and the majority of players returning. At the end of the season, we’ll see how Elway, Fangio, and other front offices rate this roster, but if Broncos can be nearly healthy, this is one of seven playoff spots. It is a list that should be sufficiently competitive.

That said, we need to pursue improvements every offseason. What are some position groups that Elway and the company need to work on in 2021?

Let’s take a look at four of them.

4. Safety

Justin Simmons Free agent after the 2020 season. Since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft from Boston University, Simmons has been one of the really best players for Denver Broncos on and off the field.

Simmons quietly chose 15 passes in the NFL’s five seasons, and it’s finally his fifth year. Recognized in Pro Bowl..

In order to re-sign Simmons a long-term contract, Broncos may not be able to keep Simmons’ running companion, Kareem Jackson, safe. Broncos was able to cut Jackson and save $ 10 million against the 2021 salary cap, but it’s unclear where to cut the budget.

Jackson made some impressive hits to Broncos this season, but if the team re-signs him, the team may want to produce more sales from the safety running with Simmons. Maybe.

The only problem with cutting Jackson to save cap space is that those who replace him with Broncos have recently replaced him with Broncos, with the exception of Wilparks, who may have played more nickel than safe in Vic Fangio’s defense. It’s not.

Is it a realistic possibility that one reason to think about letting go of Jackson and making safety a free agent priority? This year Free agent safety class is Loaded..
