eFootball PES 2021 was a smaller and cheaper update with fewer changes than usual compared to PES 2020, but is now a “Lite” version and is free. A new iteration of the game is available today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and includes full access to myClub mode.
Players who have downloaded this free version of the game can form a super team, sign a manager and lead the team to victory. This is PES’s most popular mode, so free access is good news for those who didn’t get the latest PES at launch.
PvP matchday mode is also available. In this mode, you can recreate past matches and moments and relive them. You can’t play this mode online, but you can play with your friends in the same room.
You can see the trailer for the new free game below.
Publisher Konami has also announced the launch of the 2021-21 season eFootball.Open tournament. Players in console and mobile versions of the game, including this Lite version, are now available from online qualifiers. So if you think you’re a top-notch PES player, this is your chance to prove it.
PES 2021 (including Lite edition) can also be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X via backward compatibility, but there is no dedicated next-generation version this year.
