EA Sports seems to have made the PS5 and Xbox Series S / X versions of FIFA 21 available on next-generation consoles a day earlier.
It looks like a player you already own FIFA 21 On Xbox One or PS4, on December 3rd, you can already download a patch that will allow you to upgrade your game to the appropriate next-generation version of the game (thanks, Eurogamer).
The actual retail version of the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will be available on December 4, but EA Sports will be an early adopter by offering the next generation version one day earlier than advertised. It seems to be rewarding.
If you own the game on a previous generation machine, you’ll need to log in to your PS5 or Xbox Series X / S with the same account that purchased the previous generation version of the title.
Then go to your game library and you’ll be given the option to install (or buy on your PlayStation) the next generation version of your game. Please note that “purchase” is a misnomer. Clicking it will actually be free.
Eurogamer reports that the PlayStation 5 version of FIFA 21 is available in about 50GB, and according to our own research, the Xbox Series X version is available in 35GB.
