FTC investigating supply chain disruptions from nine major retailers

The Federal Trade Commission is seeking information from nine major US retailers involved in supply chain disruptions.

FTC has ordered Tyson Foods Inc., Kraft Heinz Co., Walmart, and other companies to share information about market conditions and how business practices have exacerbated supply chain disruptions. ..

FTC Chairman Lina Khan said the supply chain turmoil is “imminent” in the delivery of many products, including meat, lumber and computer chips.

The study also looks at whether supply chain disruptions have led to bottlenecks, shortages, anti-competitive practices, and rising consumer prices.

Orders from Amazon.com Inc., Kroger Co., C & S Wholesale Grocers Inc., Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc., McLane Co Inc., and Procter & Gamble Co. Will also be sent.
