Game Inbox: Is Xbox Series X Worth Getting This Year?

Xbox Series X-Will you get it at launch? (Photo: Microsoft)

Friday Inbox is looking forward to Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity, as one reader decided not to play Days Gone on the PS5.

Emperor’s new clothes
Despite the lack of technical information, the Xbox Series X review turned out to be more useful than any other review I read today. That’s because we’re at the heart of the matter. Is the console worth getting this year? And I think you’ve shown that the answer is a pretty clear no.

It’s all nonsense of about 30 games for launch, and there’s really nothing. This is the most classic example of the emperor’s new outfit I’ve seen forever. I don’t know what Microsoft is thinking. The only possible reason I can imagine to get it for everyone at launch is if they want the best console possible to play Cyberpunk 2077 (and I). , Call Of Duty?). But that’s not the real reason, as the right next-generation version of cyberpunk will be available next year.

I was planning to see it, but I missed my reservation. I’ve had a lot of pain about it since then, but now it’s starting to look like a lucky escape.

Xbox Two
Wow, your Xbox Series X review left me feeling a bit deflated.

In essence, Microsoft has offered a boosted Xbox One X with a game pass. And that’s it, apart from starting to spend on developers.

If that’s the conclusion of the next generation, I’m worried about the lack of innovation and creativity. Nintendo is always trying to push the boundaries, and both Microsoft and Sony have tried to copy the creative font, which isn’t always successful, but it’s a different idea. In console space, that’s what makes it different from other PC builds.

By speculation, it’s just a meeting game to see developers get used to the features of a new machine, but we’re always looking for new experiences. Even people who play sports games want an evolution in their favorite game interpretations so that they continue to fork for annual updates. So I hope you haven’t reached the limits of how you can play. I’ve just touched the ceiling, so it’s more than 4K / 120fps / ray tracing.

It may sound disappointing, but I think Microsoft is taking advantage of GamePass and backward compatibility and offers a huge number of ready-to-play game libraries, but with yourself. I want more in the same way. Please wait for a while until you purchase.

Indifferent hardware
In five days to (probably) receive a new Xbox Series X, I read your review very interestingly to see if I could come up with a reason for a purchase I never thought of.

Sadly, you didn’t. As a longtime Xbox owner, I have a huge back catalog of digital games I can count on and have a lot of positive feelings about the brand in general.

But this time, I don’t feel any excitement, expectation, or indifference.

Faster load times, backward compatibility, and raytracing are all great, but they’re just features. They are certainly not a justification for spending £ 450 on a new console.

It’s been said many times, but it’s true that we sell consoles, and in that regard, Microsoft, as you say, forgets to do their homework (see you at Nintendo after school). !).

It certainly made a big decision for me before Amazon shipped the goods.

This all feels very negative, but I think it’s definitely worth it in the end. I don’t know if I can justify it now.

Bokoblin therapy
So I’ve been looking forward to the next Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity and have played the demos available for it … The bloody awesome Dynasty Warriors template fits perfectly into the story of the game and the Ganon army is in Hyrule. March. Link, Zelda, and their companions work together to push the darkness back.

It was really nice to be able to look at the world again and gain insight into what happened before. I’m really looking forward to the full game right now. Sometimes you just want to smash hundreds of bocobrins in the muddy!
Big boy bent

GC: In fact, there is a preview event this afternoon.

There is no lie
Is there anything you can mention about the PlayStation 5 and Series X console reviews regarding the Xbox Series S hard drive capacity article? It’s the same as how much space you actually have for your game or app. Hopefully, the rumor that the PlayStation 5 SSD has only 650GB of free space is just that.

We’re also looking forward to a review as we’re looking at whether to get Assassin’s Creed Valhara or Godfall as a good way to start the next generation.

Keep up the good work as usual GC

GC: We didn’t mention it, no, but they are leaks, not rumors.

License revoked
Marvel’s Avengers really look like a walking dead game. It’s really shocking considering the size of the movie. If such a thing really exists, where does this leave the Marvel Game Universe? Spider-Man did a great job. I think Miles Morales will be the same, but it was a really good game. The Iron Man VR was clearly very good, not surprising, but because it’s VR, no one was playing.

I’m not sure where to go from there? They already have a big team-up with the two biggest heroes, so what’s next? It’s hard to imagine anyone in the Black Widow or Hawkeye games right now. As I understand, Square Enix also has a Guardians of the Galaxy license, which is certainly possible, but how long will the Avengers postpone them? Do they even bother trying to hold a license right now?

I think I had to build up to the Avengers more slowly, just like in the movie, but now I have nowhere else to go. Perhaps Sony should have been given the full license.

New to me
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve skipped Xbone and PlayStation 4 and had a Nintendo Switch, so I’m looking forward to the Xbox Series X / S and probably the PlayStation 5. As far as I am concerned, I have a lot of new games to play from day one.
Rebellious 1

GC: That is not the point that was actually done.By that standard we are confident that there are many New arrival A mega drive game that you haven’t played yet.

Next-generation reality
Now, it’s great to see Sony almost kill the PlayStation VR in the weeks leading up to the PlayStation 5 hit. I saw an interview with Jim Ryan of The Washington Post. He said basically there wouldn’t be one for the PlayStation 5, and the current one wouldn’t be compatible without the cables that had to be ordered from Sony.

From what I’ve collected, if you want to play something like Hitman, you need the PlayStation 5 version for graphic fidelity, and if you want to play in VR, you need the PlayStation 4 version. This is just one example, but the PlayStation 5 has about 650GB of available space, and installing the same game twice can take up almost one-third of that.

The transition from PlayStation 4 to 5 isn’t smooth with Sony’s backtrack and a complete lie, leaving a slightly sour taste. No doubt, I’ve been enjoying Demon’s Souls for a few weeks, but it’s just icing, not “for the player,” that forces me to hold a PlayStation 4.

GC: Given how much Sony has done to VR than any other console company, it seems a bit soap opera. It’s not their fault VR isn’t very useful. And why do you need to stick to PlayStation 4? Just order the cable from here.

Inbox too-Run
Good news about the reduced loading time on the PlayStation 5 Days Gone. This means that people can better enjoy scary characters, moody conversations, terrible stories, numerous bugs, and hackers of all levels a little faster. Or, work in your favor and stay away.

GC: No lies are detected here.

Did you want to be able to review Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion someday because you asked for a specific desktop game request? The tricky part is gathering two or more people in the same place during the blockade …

Besides Halo Infinite, what are some of the following AAA-only games that Microsoft has in the lineup?

GC: Yesterday I listed them all in features.

As a longtime fan of Nintendo, and with hindsight glasses on, I would like to consider buying stock in the Wii U era.

GC: please do not worry. I’m sure they’ll bounce again after they’re ruined, that’s their way.

This week’s hot topic
This weekend’s inbox topic was suggested by reader Simon. What is Simon’s favorite console ever?

What is your favorite console (rather than your home computer), regardless of when it was first released? What is the reason? How much of that appeal lies not only in software, but in hardware and its peripherals? Consoles are better than other consoles, how impressive are they and how much impact do they have on modern times?

How much nostalgia influences your choices? Do you think consoles and their games still have a wide range of appeal today? What makes a great console? And how much do you think the current and future formats have learned from the past?
